Gotcha

I love this picture as Keaton, Kayden and Laney all are reaching in and touching their sister.

So in adoption lingo today is Macy Jean Brown's Gotcha Day.  The day that her adoption was finalized in the court system.  We just had a conference call hearing and congratulations from the judge and now legally we are Macy's parents forever.  The adoption process for Macy is finished.

There are many days we can point to that we feel were days we "got" Macy.

God at the beginning of time when choosing what families would be together set Macy as our daughter.

As soon as we heard about Macy and her life and knew she existed somewhere in a far away state, we loved her as a daughter in our hearts.

The first day we met Macy and held her and began a relationship with her we "got" her.

And every day from here into eternity where we will all be reunited together as a family with Jesus we will be her parents, her family.

So today is just a technicality really, but it still feels really big and important and full of the hand of God.
