We are doing good. We get exhausted, but it is amazing that Macy has been sleeping every night from 11-6, so we get good sleep when we leave the hospital. We eat out every meal, which is making us gain weight and feel gross sometimes, but we are good. Gabe is in charge of making sure we get variety and healthy foods too, because as many of you know, he is obsessed with food and what meal is coming next.
We are staying at the Konine Clubhouse, which is here at the hospital for parents of patients. It is a nice room with a crib for Macy. They also have a laundry room there that has helped as we have lots of baby laundry and our own clothes to wash and rewear as we have been here much longer than we packed for! The condo we reserved before coming down will be available for us should we need to leave the hospital later next week, but remain in the area for a couple days.
So, considering all we are going through, we are great. We feel strength that we probably shouldn't feel under these circumstances, and that is provided by God alone, most often through you. We have met a couple nurses and doctors that are Christ-followers and talking with them reminds us that we are part of a larger family outside of our Indiana home.
Now we have something to do other than wait. We can actively hold Gaby and comfort her and keep her moving in the right direction. God is good.
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. We are praying for you both and for Macy and Gaby. I am so glad that you got to hold Gaby!!!! We will continue praying and hope that you can come home soon! We miss you!
