First Snow Contest

I hate snow.  I hate the dirt, slush, and grime all over everything that will remain there for the next several months.

But I have to admit that if I have no where to go and no agenda, sitting next to the fireplace watching the snow fall outside is beautiful.  Watching the sparkly white stuff stick to the pine trees in our backyard is gorgeous.  Hearing the excitement of the kids as they get dressed to go outside and play almost makes me believe that I would like playing in it too.

There is a  reason that God uses snow as a metaphor for a fresh start so often in the Bible.

Let's celebrate the gift of snow by looking at its beauty and having some fun.  I am hosting a giveaway that will run through December 16th.  Not giving away an ipod yet, but maybe someday.  If you have any pictures of the white stuff, post a link to them.  Anyone posting a link here in comments will be entered into a drawing for a $20 gift certificate to my friends online store!  Make sure when you post the link for the photo that I can contact you if you are the winner!

These pics of Laney and Keaton playing in the snow make me smile.

  1. Someone I know was obsessed with snowflakes and this guy last year.

  2. Check this one out!

  3. I understand the metaphor, but the only snow I like is what is falling on the screen right now. Here is Rebecca enjoying the snow - she does not share my opinion.

  4. And what if we don't have snow??? :0(( Or maybe I should put :)))) LOVE the pictures of your kids in the snow though. Almost makes me miss it. Almost.

  5. You get entered in the contest because you're you! Don't even need a picture.
