Last weekend we traveled, just the 6 of us, to Cincinnati to celebrate the boys birthdays. We visited Kings Island for a day and then caught a Cubs/Reds game. It was super hot, but so fun. The kids loved every minute of both days. It brings us so much joy to see them enjoying life and laughing and just being kids. (Pictures of this trip in August pics page.)
Labor Day weekend we went to Warner Camp in Michigan camping with a group of friends. Talk about roughing it! Our family of 6 slept in a wooden hogan with one light bulb and slab bunkbeds with little mattresses. We all loved it (but just loved the hot shower I took here at home even more)! It was so relaxing and enjoyable. So much good food and campfire hanging out. Nothing better than being lazy and talking with friends while your kids run wild at the campground for hours.
