Are you kidding me?

After driving all night...on our 19th straight hour and only 4 more to go, we had a scare and a change of plans. Here's what is happening...

Around noon, Shelley was sitting next to Macy in the van when she noticed her coloring was wrong and she was not breathing. After unsuccessfully trying to alert her, Shelley performed CPR and got her breathing again.

We took Macy to a local hospital who ordered a medical transport to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, KY. Since being at the hospital she has had a couple other occurrences where her breathing has slowed, but not to the extent of the incident in the car.

So, here we sit....in another hospital....19 hours from Gaby and 4 hours from Keaton, Kayden, & Laney. They will be running a number of tests on Macy tomorrow to determine the cause. It is our hope that they are able to come to a quick conclusion and we can travel home tomorrow...but who knows...we've thought that before!

  1. I can't begin to imagine the pain your entire family is enduring through this journey. You are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. God's timing and plans are not always easy to accept, but you will get through this, and just remember we are all here to help and keep leaning on God for the amazing strength, peace and grace you have shown through this.
